- 1 Dried Chili Pepper
- 350 g Daikon
- 1 Package of Konnyaku
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 1 ½ tablespoon Sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoon Soy Sauce
- ½ cup Dashi
- 3 g Bonito Flakes
- Remove seeds of a chili pepper.
- Slice chili pepper.
Remove seeds of a chili pepper.
Slice chili pepper.
Peel daikon.
Cut daikon into small cubes.
Cut small slits across both sides of konnyaku.
Cut konnyaku into small cubes.
Add a pinch of salt to konnyaku and mix with hands.
Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
Add konnyaku to boiling water and boil for 2 minutes.
Add diced daikon.
Cook until daikon is clear.
Add 1 ½ tablespoon of sugar and 1 ½ tablespoon of soy sauce to pot.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Add ½ cup of dashi.
Cover with lid and heat on medium for 10 minutes.
Remove lid and heat to high.
Add chili pepper.
Cook sauce down.
Add 3g of bonito flakes.
Mix and serve.
