This daikon salad with bacon dressing looks quick to make and delicious to eat. It will tantalize your taste receptors and provide a new angle on your menu.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Daikon
  • 1 pack Kaiware Sprouts
  • 6 slices of Bacon
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • tablespoon Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Use about half or 1 lb of Daikon.
  • Remove the outer skin from the Daikon.
  • Cut the Daikon into thin slices.
  • Then cut the slices into thin strips.
  • Place the Daikon strips into cold water.
  • Cut the roots off the Kaiware Sprouts.
  • Place the sprouts in the cold water with the Daikon.
  • Soak the Daikon and sprouts for 15 minutes.
  • Cut six slices of bacon into ⅓” pieces.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium heat.
  • Add the bacon and cook until it becomes crispy.
  • Turn off the heat and add 1.5 tablespoons of vinegar.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and pepper to taste.
  • Remove the Daikon and sprouts from the water.
  • Add the bacon dressing mixture to the Daikon and sprouts.
  • Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Serve and enjoy!
